Planning enforcement, planning appeals, planning applications

AGP Steels produce all types of steel girders and components for the construction industry. In 2010 an Enforcement Notice was served on the company requiring closure of their factory (and threatening the loss of some 43 jobs) due to complaints relating to noise and traffic.

JB Planning Associates were instructed to lodge an appeal and negotiate a retrospective planning permission with The London Borough of Havering.

Following a series of lengthy discussions and with the assistance of Noise and Highway Consultants, the Enforcement Notice appeal was allowed (subject to conditions) and the Enforcement Notice quashed.

A mixed use planning permission was granted for B8 Warehousing, B2 General Industry, Builders Merchant and ancillary offices thereby allowing the appellant company flexibility for their commercial operations on the site.

Reliance was placed on the Coalition Government’s Ministerial Statement Planning for Growth and the need to promote national economic recovery.

Projects relating to industrial uses and employment generation are areas of planning work which JB Planning Associates have considerable experience.
